Re: NTLWORLD webspace
My ntl web space became unusuable for some reason so I just grabbed some new VM webspace. I can't remember the exact amount but the VM space is considerably larger than the Ntl.
All the details, as to how, will be on your "my virgin media" page, IIRC.

Re: NTLWORLD webspace
the speed test here seems to work fine on ntl webspace.
blueyonder access via <alias>.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk or <alias>.myby.co.uk seems to work fine too

Re: NTLWORLD webspace
Has virgin media ever considered selling a full hosting package ?
I believe quite a few people would take this offer up as opposed to paying a separate hosting company each month. I'm sure virgin has the infrastructure in place that could cope with a unlimited web space/bandwidth package. Virgin already offers unlimited storage via v-stuff so adding unlimited webspace should not be much of an issue. Should it ? I understand that running costs would be higher than that of v-stuff with new servers/software being needed but could a small monthly charge of a couple pounds not cover this ?
1Gb / 10Gb = £1.00
5Gb / 50Gb = £1.50
10Gb / 100Gb = £2.00
UL / UL = £2.50
If it were at all possible for virgin to do this at these prices, it would undercut most if not all other hosting companies. I for one would take the offer up straight away.

Re: NTLWORLD webspace
To be honest you can grab free space around the web, so why pay ?

I've tried a few free hosting sites and found them to be rather restrictive. Most only give very limited bandwidth allowances and set small file size limits, so you can't host video. Or only allow a limited amount of pages.
The last site i used blocked my page for using too many cpu cycles. All i had on my page was a small picture gallery with around 20 family pictures. I think in total the entire page used 15Mb and i only had 5 visitors before they shut me down.

They (or rather Telewest) used to offer an advanced pwp service for an extra fiver month. This was dropped shortly after the merger.

Re: NTLWORLD webspace
I am using Windows 7 professional.
I can view my webspace pages using the homepage.ntlworld.com / username method but I cannot access my webspace via Filezilla to edit the files despite using my e-mail address and my e-mail access password, even though I successfully did so about a month ago.
Are there service issues with customer webspace please? Or is it just me?
Any info would be greatly appreciated please.TIA.
