Blueyonder Failing to Send or Receive
My Dad has a blueyonder account that he can access fine through the Virgin Media page but all of a sudden, he's stopped being able to send and receive through his Outlook 2007 account. Stange thing is that my Mum has a secondary account set up on the same account and she can still send and receive without problems.
I've done lots of reading and tried changing lots of settings but can't seem to get it working again. I've tried using both his email address and his original Virgin Media account number as his user name. I've tried changing the port numbers and using SSL but nothing seems to work. Strange thing is that the send says it is successful but he never gets any new mails and if he goes into his account through virgin media, he has loads of emails that have never pulled through into his account. If he tried to send messages, he gets an error telling him that errors have been detected in his Outlook.pst file.
He has tried phoning Virgin Media but they told him that they would not support an Outlook account. Can anyone offer any help please?
The settings I have for him at the moment are:
Your Name: His full name
Email Address: his blueyonder email address
Account Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: pop3.blueyonder.co.uk
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
User name: his blueyonder email address (although I have also tried his original account number - the one made up of letters and numbers)
Incoming Server Port 995 requires SSL
Outgoing server Port 25 requires SSL
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks
Claire
