Re: Attachment Limits on e-mails

Ugh the email service can be so useless.
I couldn't send an attachment from Outlook, or even a plan email, due to not liking my encryption method, even when I disable and change the settings about.
So I go to do it via the web based email and the attachment failed to upload, as to why it couldn't tell me, clicking help just loaded a blank page. Second time with the web based client and it worked. Attachment was 7mb!

Soooo how useless is virgin email systems still?

Remember that the email service is now provided by Google Gmail and they have severe restrictions on what you can attach.

*.lib? That's a pain as I often send incremental/full CAD library dumps to clients that end in .lib and are by no means executable.

I'll have to remember to change the extension or leave it off.

This was for a starting image of 11.7 MB.
Thats due to how the email formats the attachment to send. If you have a 15mb limit then this doesn't mean you can send a 15mb file. You have to allow for the overheads.
