My 3 email addresses

Hi,

Years a go I set up 2 extra email addresses over and above the standard one.

With the standard one I can login fine into webmail, but the other two I can only login to them via Outlook. Webmail doesn't seem to accept the username

Any thoughts?

They will be orphaned accounts. Meaning they were created on an old system and never moved across. The new MYVM has changed the way you log into webmail, so these email address will no longer work there.

Just give them a call and they will raise it up to be added to your current account.

If you call up support tomorrow from 0800 in the morning an agent will get this raised up to IT for you.

I've called support got someone from India, and she has said the one email address I am using (in outlook) is not allocated to my account!!!!! Even though i am currently using it in Outlook but just cant connect to webmail... Confused now!

Call again as soon after 8am as you can and you have more chance of speaking to a UK based agent.

I expect you have a @ntlworld.com and you may have also moved house at some time or maybe not, but your email address will have become detached or orphaned from your account and you will need to speak to an agent to get it raised to IT for them to reattach it which can take 5/7 working days.

As Jo says call as soon after 0800 in the morning to get a UK agent and mention what posted above.

Thanks apparently my email address is linked to someone else...so they need to investigate. She has assigned the issue to IT.

I'm an IT consultant working on customer site, so a little difficult to phone during working hours

No I didn't get a ticket number.... My name is Peter Gadsby though (not Fred Smith) I used to work for NTL so that's why I have the alias. Apparently the email address was assigned to [mod: please do not give 3rd party names]!!!!! Very strange as I set up the account years ago.

Best removing that from the forum mate, bit to personal.

Call them up and get me the ticket ref, I can take a look then.

If your mailbox is on another account its a rather serious issue .. but I imagine its the 1st line getting mixed up ..

Can I remind members that unless they have permission or the name is already in the public domain they should not be giving out personal information for a 3rd party. As for your own full name we recommend you do not publicize it but in the end it is your name so your own choice
