Can't change account settings on VM website
I hardly ever check my @NTLWorld account any more, but when I do I see I've missed a load of VM emails. So I need to redirect my emails to my yahoo account.
Anyway, I go to www.virginmedia.com and click the "My Virgin Media" link, but it says "We're making some exciting changes..." and I can't do anything. Very mysterious.
It's been like that over the weekend, any ideas when they'll sort their website out, and what these "exciting" changes are?
Boz
Edit: Sorry, I should've said I've setup email forwarding via VM's googlemail service. I'm just interested in the "exciting changes" now.

We're going to be upgrading our internal systems between 10pm Saturday and 10pm Sunday this weekend.
It's likely that My Virgin Media will be inaccessible for some of this time.
Also during this time you will be unable to do the following:
Reset your password via My Virgin Media or by calling Technical Support
Activate any new modems on your account.
Make changes to your broadband services (Upgrades or Downgrades of service tiers, etc)
Activate new installs of Virgin Media Security and V-Stuff.
Reset licenses for Virgin Media Security.
Add or delete email addresses registered to your account.
Register or change any Personal Web space addresses.

This isn't to do with email, it's the "My Virgin Media" account settings, which could come under either sub-forum I suppose.
Anyway, just went to My Virgin Media again and this time the new swish website tells me:
"We're sorry, we're having a few technical problems. We're working to fix them so please try again later."
Any ideas when the service will be up again? Been trying for a while now.

Have you called in to get it fixed at all.
It is email related actually.

To me that means that VM already know about the issue.
Do I really need to talk to India again today? Please don't put me through that hell, I've already spent half hour on the phone with them explaining that an over 18 year old doesn't need to be in the house to greet a technician when the problem is a broken door on a green cable cabinet on the other side of the street! (Complaint pending on that one).

There is a form you can fill for those issues at www.virginmedia.com/contact (there is also a dedicated number as well you can phone)

Re: Can't change account settings on VM website
Ive noticed that email accounts that Im 90% sure I deleted are still on my account. Though I can change the passwords for any email attached to my account apart from the ones I thought I deleted?, it comes up the error page.

You need to raise this to VM, who will resolve the record errors

Re: Can't change account settings on VM website
Still saying "We're sorry, we're having a few technical problems. We're working to fix them so please try again later."
Can anyone else get in? Should I really phone support and stress myself out trying to explain the problem?

It will only get sorted if you call in.

Re: Can't change account settings on VM website
Ok, think it's a PC issue. Tried another PC and I can get passed the "We're sorry, we're having a few technical problems". However, now I'm being asked to enter my PIN.
er... PIN? Hmm... can't remember, so I'll click "Forgotten your PIN?"... 404 error.
{facepalm}
Ah well, I did actually get a PIN sent to my email, so I've got in. Definitely some teething probs with the new site.
Looks nice though.

In fairness, that's not what I asked. I just wanted to know it it's something everyone is having or just me, and after trying another PC, it was just me, and not worth calling in.
