Email - two names the same
Hi
OK - weird one. For the last couple of months I have been receiving occasionally emails addressed to me but for another guy with the same name also on VM (Ntl). I thought the senders were getting the address wrong but on inspecting the headers, any replies from the guy (with the same name) are showing as From: my email address.
No two email addresses can be the same so am I right in assuming that the guy with the same name is an idiot along with the people that mail him?
I haven't done anything and if I do - I'm not budging as I have had my email address (and using it) for the last 12 years!

Send a report to VM's abuse team, including any and all evidence you have. Use the security related question option.

Link fixed, and there is probably a lot they can do especially if a customer has the wrong local email settings on their machine.

Cheers guys - I did contemplate reporting via there but it's not really abuse but what the hell...better to be on the safe side.

It is if they are doing it on purpose .. could be a spam trap, sending emails to get a reply .. they get the reply and know your email is active.
I get loads of emails from myself .. which is odd, because I wouldn't email him.. hes a tool...

It's possible that someone has set up their Outlook account incorrectly and entered the wrong reply to email in the settings -I did this when I first started...
