un able to send any e-mails from my secondary email
hi,

so i have made a second email on my fathers virgin media account so i am able to have my own virgin media e-mail. and i am able to receive them just fine but when i try send any e-mails it wont work and i cant figure out why?

i am logged into the virgin media internet that the account is with i use this as an out going in the pop settings "smtp.virginmedia.com" and it does not work, i am using the mail app in mac and my other .

any help would be much appreciated, TIA

i dont get an error message it just asks me to select a different server to try... as i have three email boxes. so i cant figure out why. my dads original email is a ntlworld email does that make any difference? when i selected to make a new one it offered virgin media only

Sorry mate, I'm not following ..

It will only offer VM address now as thats the new domain address .. but I can't picture what message you see, can you post a screen shot ?

well it just asks me to select a new server to try...

i have a cytanet a hotmail and a viring media email account on the email app but it refuses to send form the virgin media one and asks me to select another email to send from..

it says this "the sender address """@virginmedia.com was rejected by the smtp.virginmedia.com

turns out it was not... i did not know it needed them specific ports and enabled ssl.. i just added the smtp and pop3 info and that was it..
