How do I switch to one of my alternative email addresses?

Stupid question I know, but I can't figure it out. When I enter my webmail it is my primary address. How do I switch to another address that I set up yonks ago. I can't see how to do it!!?

I've replied in the other forum ..

I'm assuming you have an @blueyonder.co.uk address and have setup more than one alias (address) on the mailbox.

This means you have a few @by addresses, but they all go to the same place.

You can change the from bit in webmail, or the properties in Outlook, but you can only log in with the primary email address as there is only one mailbox.

@ Meld51log out of the webmail that you're in and then re-log in with your other email address.

@ Nopanic - I'm unsure why you think that? Mine don't all go to the same place. - they never have. I'm formerly ntlworld (and most of my alternate email addresses are all ntlworld ones). I need to use my main address to sign into my Virginmedia overall account, but for the individual email accounts I can only access them individually by signing in online separately for each of my other separate email addresses (which each have their own webmail space) by clicking on email aon the main vm page (the email tab across the top( and then filling in the appropriate email and password for each of those. That's if I'm checking in online. Otherwise I've got my outlook configured to automatically download and filter each address's email into it's own folder.

But unless some kind of forwarding has been set up they are each absolutely separate email accounts and have their own individual space - not all sent to the same place.

yes, but I don't see any indication in the original post that the original post is Blueyonder. Nopanic assumed it was. So that's partly why I clarified that mine was ntl (in case that made a difference) and that you log into each email separately

I didn't completely realise they worked differently, but I was offering my experience which is different from the above and why I started that bit with 'I am unsure...'

I'm guessing he assumed it was BY since it would seem obvious that for anything else you'd login as the email address you wanted to access. Regardless, it's all moot since it's been answered in the other thread anyway.

Thank you, yes I assumed he would have tried to log in with each email address ... he hadn't ..

I think the "I'm unsure why you think that? " statement may have been taken the wrong way .. I don't think it, I know it

He didn't do a very good job in detailing what he was trying, but I did say Blueyonder specifically.

Nopanic - no worries - it wasn't you I felt patronised by at all. And yes, I do realise that my wording could probably have been better
