Can't send mail from one of my addresses

As far as I know it only started this evening, I've been out all day. But it may have started day or two ago as it's an address I receive mails on, but do not send from very often.
I'm still receiving mails on it via TB from my other email addresses and the outside world.
I use TB 3.1.6 on OS 10.3
And it's an ntlworld.com address.

This is the message I'm receiving.

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: you are not allowed to send mail to <anyone>. Please check the message and try again.

I can send from it via webmail

I had the same problem and found the answer on another forum.

set up the smtp

smtp.virginmedia.com
port: 465
username: full email address
authentication: normal password
connection security: SSL/TLS


it worked for me, but there again it was working before VM messed it up!!
theres help on VMs site, but they have got the smtp server wrong

Thank you Philip, but it didn't make a difference.
The other email addresses still work though.
It's just one I have a problem with

Just checked my sent folder and I sent a message from that address at 9 this morning.
There have been no updates, and the machine was turned off at mid-day.

Was just about to post to say that it was working again!
That was a stange one. Like the posters on that board said, it didn't affect all of their addresses......
