Getting a 403 error when trying to view my webspace. i think i know what i have done to cause this.
i mistakenly deleted the index.html file that was in there instead of a picture i meant to delete
So i thought i would just go into homecare and reset my webspace but it will not reset.
I have tried this three times and nothing happens,my old files are still in there.
Do i just upload a new index.html if so what directory do i put it in ?
I have a feeling that this is one of those really simple fixes but this is my first atempt at using my webspace and i'm kinda lost.
The index.html is your default file that the webspace points people to when they type in just the domain name. Yes you need to replace the file (with whatever you originally put up there)
i got it working but now i'm stuck on a html(i think) problem. I would like to use my webspace as a video dump, nothing fancy like streaming just a place where friends and family can download clips from. Can i add a hypertext link in the index.html file that points to the clip ? so it would look something like this...

holiday.avi
Oops.avi
Funny.jpg
So all they would have to do is click on the link to download them ?
I'm currently doing a google on how to do this but i seem to be getting nowhere.
