POP mail blues...

Until the change to Googlemail (back in the good old days) I had Outlook 2003 on my home PC set to use POP to access my ntlworld.com email account but used Outlook Express at work set to the same account but with 'leave message on server' ticked. This meant that all my email arrived in my home Outlook client but I could take a peak at my email when I was at work.

Problem now is that the settings are different and VirginMail wants to keep a copy of even my deleted emails (therefore filling my account up) unless I set it to remove once it has been accessed by POP. This would be OK if I only accessed it from one account but even with the setting of 'leave message on server' ticked it is deleting the email, so if I read it in Outlook Express it won't be there when I access it from home in Outlook 2003.

Any suggestions how I can get around this?

Re: POP mail blues...

Further to this:
I found instructions on using the recent: prefix but was not sure if I use this on just my Outlook client or both devices.

I suspect that I use recent: on Outlook as that is the only one I want to be able to delete emails from my account and that the other unit just has the normal account details.

Just need confirmation from someone who has used this

thanks

Martin
