outlookexpress and eudora

My old computer ran windows XP and I used outlook express for email. My new computer runs windows 7 - so apparently I can't use outlook express anymore. I don't like virgin web page email - all those clicks - so thought I would try eudora. It looks really great - but I cannot get it to work - when I try to send messages I get "unable to authenticate server..."

Can anyone help? Or do I just have to get used to all those clicks...

Re: outlookexpress and eudora

Eudora shouldn't be a problem, from what I remember of using it. You do need to follow the set-up instructions for the new VM Mail service, especially the bit about signing in to the smtp server to send email now. They're somewhere on the Help or FAQ sections of the VM website.

There are plenty of free replacements for outlook express - Windows Live Mail client from Microsoft; Thunderbird from Mozilla; etc. But they'll all need the new set-up.
