Hi Vic, thanks for posting.
Based on my experience three days seems a little fast.
I was originally told
5 working days
then when not working by then, I was told
7 working days
which is tmrw
So will update on what happens.

Well update as promised.
Wasted my whole morning on this so far.
Basically no progress, told to wait longer.
Also to add previously it appears the 'form' was filled in for only one e-mail! Being my primary e-mail.
I had been under the assumption that this would mean that all my secondary e-mails would also be UNorphaned as well.
Appears that this is not the case so today a helpful advisor filled in the form for a few other secondary e-mails that I need UNorphaned as well.
Unlike the first time he also took a password that I would want to use with the new e-mail accounts.
Anyway back to waiting around and kicking my heels for another 7 working days.

i had this problem for about 5mins where it started asking for password then everything went normal can send/recieve email ok do i need to inform VM about the problem?

On 9th July the helpful Virgin person re-established my email address on the web mail system whilst my orphaned account was being re-established. I much prefer ootlook express but at least I could get by. On 16th July I was told it would take a little longer to correct my pop3/smtp access.
Today 21st July my access to virgin web mail has been denied and outlook express still does not work.
Oh well it's back to the phone...dial 1...dial 2 etcand listen to the happy smiley girl who tells you to reboot etc.

Another update....after a 30 minute wait (at least there is a new facility to select your desired music) a helpful person told me there is a problem this morning with the web mail. He escalted the pop3/smptp problem to reinsitute my orphaned account and then help me access "mail.ntlworld.com" which then allowed me to access the virgin web mail server.

Same here, I'm having problems on Outlook 2007, keeps asking me for my username & password on both email accounts, this is bloody shocking from VM, how many more times is my email going to play up?

Mine doesn't work via POP on Windows Live Mail, just keeps asking me to enter my password, I thought it had been hacked until I went on webmail
