Multiple Virginmedia/ntlworld email addresses in Outlook

Help. I have MS Outlook and currently have 2 ntlworld.com addresses set up correctly. I recently requested a 3rd email address from Virgin and this was provided with a virginmedia.com ending.

I have added a new account into Outlook but it fails the test message stage.

Is Outlook comptabile with a combination of ntlworld and virginmedia addresses since reading on the Virgin website they seem to have different settings for smtp and pop3 ? If so, what do I need to do to make this work ?

Any help much appreciated. Ideally I don't want to use a combination of webmail and Outlook.

As far as I can see you can have an many different connections to accounts with different ISPs as you like.

With POP3 connections they will all go to your single inbox in your default "Personal Folders" entry by default unless you specify otherwise, or each IMAP connection will have it's own folder structure by default if IMAP is your preferred connection method.

I have seperate POP3 connections to my ntl address, my GMail address and an o2 address and they all co-exist happily in Outlook within "Personal Folders", with my MS Live Mail connection having it's own folder structure using the Windows Live Hotmail connection plug-in thingy.

for all your account use the followign settings

incoming mail pop3.virginmedia.com use ssl port 995
outgoing mail smtp.virginmedia.com use ssl port 465
if you use imap
imap.virginmedia.com use ssl port 993

for outgoing serving it use authencation that and ssl are in teh advanced settings

username is your email address
password is your password

the rest of the settings are obiovus

outlok can handle approx 100 emails before it has problems

Unsupported email client setup instructions will be madfe soon by myself
