Recent Mode Not Working on NetBook

Hi

Have recently setup the Recent Mode on my main PC and the 30 days worth of emails came through. However when I setup the same on my netbook using OE6 nothing happens.

I have checked everthing several times but to no avail.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

maybe you have downloaded all the emails and not left them on the email server

Just tried sending a test email on both computers and neither retreives the email once it has already been received on the first pc

Have you got the POP settings on the webpage set to "Delete when a POP connection is made"? If so I don't think the recent: mode will deliver mails from the bin.

I have the "delete" setting turned on. Then on my iPhone I have "never delete" set which does seem to over-ride the web-setting, ensuring I also receive the mails on my PC when I connect later.

Outlook on my PC is set not to leave a copy on the server, which seems to allow the deletion to happen at the server, so I don't get emails to my phone if I've seen them on my PC, which is the way I like it.

I think you'll need to experiment with the POP options on webmail to ensure you see all items on both machines. Try "Keep Virgin Media's copy in the inbox"" or "mark Virgin Media's copy as read" to see what happens which will mean you would have to manually delete them on the server occasionally if you don't want them to stay there.

Or you can try setting up the way I do it if you only want to see all of them on your main PC, and don't need it on your netbook if you've already got it on your main PC.
