Although the old settings will work at the moment they will be switched off in the future so it will be good if we can resolve this.
Andrew, if your staff can you email me internally with your details?

Hi
I have tried on both outlook 2007 and 2010. Both don't work error message is "Send test e-mail message: None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server." This is with SSL turned on.
I configured outlook express on my netbook as a test to check my account settings. This will work so the issue looks like with outlook and the changed settings.
I also now notice that my iphone does not pickup all my mails but I haven't had time to look at that yet.
If anyone needs more info please PM me.

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
Thanks for the information.
We have identified an issue specifically with ntlworld.com email accounts using Outlook with SMTP authentication switched on.
We are reviewing how we can resolve this. In the meantime continue with SMTP authentication switched off

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
Just to confirm my and my colleague's issue were also both with Outlook 2007 and SMTP authentication turned on in the "Outgoing Server" tab.
Same error message as Ronnie above.

I want it done right. I would also appreciate some better communication of when it might be done, so that I know when to look out for it. end April to end June is a wide timescale.

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
Just been to check my VM webmail..Since when has the opportunity to save one's password changed? Also can I actually change my ntlworld password to something I might remotely be able to remember.I've had the same password since 1997 and I still can't pigging remember it.

Call in and we will reset the password, this is quite common if your password does not now include at least one number.

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
AFAIK my ex ntl account hasn't migrated yet, but smtp in thunderbird didn't work yesterday, and isn't working today either
Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server smtp.ntlworld.com failed.
email is coming in ok from pop3.ntlworld.com
