Yes. You're changing the email system. Don't try to tell me it's better or insist that I'll love it, because those are just opinions. Just tell me what I have to do to make it work.

Just click on these links and it will work in Incredimail as it is just a POP3 client.
Here are the FAQ's about the migration to the Googlemail Platform just click HERE
Here are the NTL settings for your email client once you are migrated just click HERE
No one says you have to love as all you need is for it to work as before but remember it is free email and the likes of www.gmx.com also exist if unhappy with you Virginedia mail account.

try forwarding your ntl mail to a google mail account to assess how well the new arrangement might work.
All the spam I get is labelled, as such, & placed in a specific folder for me to vet, or is simply filtered out..

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
A bit confused on this.
I`ve already got and use a gmail account that is set to collect all my ntlworld emails.
Is that going to stop ? And will I have to do anything else.

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
I've been lucky with the spam and my ntl account ... usually gets chucked into spam.
I've been with cable for a while now 18 months - 2 years ish??? and been waiting for a Virgin e-mail address --- been quit ashamed of the ntl one (my son was with NTL when it was ntl ... and ..... well I can't say what he thinks !!!! ............
I tell you what ... these changes keep the old brain cells clicking and whirring. I just upgraded my computer as well .... so those old cells are up to a new e-mail address .... bring it on.

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
Where are my emails?
Over the last 2 weeks 5 emails sent to me have gone MISSING, i have a NTLWORLD.COM address and i use THUNDERBIRD ive always used thunderbird and up to 2 weeks ago i always got emails delivered, since this email integration has been going on i have trouble getting my mail " only from 1 of my mates".
He has double checked my emails address is correct on his PC, i have sent myself test emails " and got them ".
Yesterday i got a email from a old mate of mine which contained a attachment, when i opened the mail the attachment was missing !!.
Is GOOGLEMAIL stopping me getting attachments?
I am all for progress and integration, but i am against a system that checks my mail and decides if i get attachments or not !!!
As for SPAM i have never had spam because my security s/ware scans all emails and dumps anything that has not been set to allow through by me in my s/ware settings.

Are you receiving andd sending in Webmail if so check that the settings in my links match yours.
You may have a Spam Filter on your machine but the new Webmail Filter prevents the Spam from even reaching your computer therefore making your filter null and void.

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
I received the email 2 days ago and changed to the recommended settings but straightaway experienced problems with receiving emails.I use Outlook Express and it would advise me that I was receiving email but then would hang until it timed out. This would go on for quite a few times and I eventually had to log on to webmail to read emails. I put up with this for 24 hours but I have now changed the settings back and all is working fine again. Doesnt auger well for when it will be compulsory to change to the new settings.

I'm still using pop.ntlworld.com fine, I think the new settings are only necessary once your account has been migrated over to the Google platform. Hopefully they will do what Sky did and send an e-mail saying to move over to the new settings to continue receiving messages when they switched to Google mail.

Re: @ntlworld.com e-mail migration
I turned off the spam filter on ntl mail ages ago, and set it to append what it thought was spam with
[SPAM?]
sometimes emails from shops, and cinemas incorrectly get set as spam, that has been happening for years, and still happens.
When I pop it thunderbird puts it in the junk folder

No one says you have to love...

" Virgin Media Mail is a new upgrade to your existing ntlworld.com email account, provided by Google, so it comes packed with great extras that we know you're going to love." (Virgin Media team email)

" We'll move your current ntlworld.com email account over the next few weeks, and then send you a welcome email to tell you when it's all done." (Virgin Media team email) So if I've got this right: I need to change my email client settings to keep receiving emails, but you're not going to tell me when until after it's all done - and you're going to tell me by email? Does anyone else see a flaw in this process somewhere?
How about you tell me in advance exactly when it's going to happen, so I can make the changes at the right time?

The Incredimail is an answer for someone else, at the moment your mail will work and only once you are migrated will you need to change the settings in Livemail which is extremely easy and the settings are in the links above.

Of course it's extremely easy. But I will only know when to do it once I realise that I've stopped getting emails. This is Customer service, 2010-style?
And, I'm going to have to explain to others why they've stopped getting emails as well. Thanks.

No you will get a mail advising of the need to change settings which you will receive as you have received the other mails about it.
All I did was log into webmail once a week and when it changed to the google style login I knew that it was time to change.
