My parents are on AOL so I tried checking my email on the NTL homepage using the email link. It didn't work, just got a message saying I had logged out previously. On here I found the site web6-win.server.ntlworld.com . When I checked on sunday there were no emails. When I got home there were 35 emails waiting ranging from friday afternoon to monday.
Is this a common problem or should I contact NTL. Last time I phoned them I had a foreign call centre worker read of a card and ask me unrelated questions.
web6-win.server.ntlworld.com points to the old webmail ip address- so you may well see old mail here.
To access webmail, you should either follow the links through www.ntlworld.com or use http://webmail.ntlworld.com . You will then ensure that you are directed to the new mail platform rather than the old and thus see new messages properly.
As I said in my original question, the link from the homepage doesn't work at all on AOL. I think I tried http://webmail.ntlworld.com but I'm not sure so will try it anyway.

Re: NTL Webmail not working
Hmm.. thought all the old webmail servers were redirecting to the new ones, but it looks like they missed 6 and 7. Since these are connected to the old mail platform you won't see any mail received since July.

I guess that is something to do with the AOL browser and Javascript... but the webmail.ntlworld.com link should work fine for you
I have to admit that before I moved out I hated the whole AOL interface which is why I didn't get it. I think they can use internet explorer when AOL is running so it might be the way to go to get webmail working.
