Uploading to ntl from an Apple Mac

I've successfully uploaded a site to ntl in the past using my old pc. However I have now junked the pc and have an Apple Mac. I've bought Transmit from Panic.com (as recommended on the Virgin Media site) and according to Transmit, the updated site has been sent, but if I try to access it, I get the ntl site unavailable page. Anyone any ideas, please?

Do you have a valid index.html in your site root or is it index.htm?

Can you go http://webspaceurl/index.html (or whatever extension your index file has)?

Not much help now but Cyberduck is an excellent free FTP client for the Mac.
