well if all the sites on the host server goes down its a server problem not your ISP

that just means its either, timed that way, or there is maintenance on that server. so if the server is not seen your site cant be seen.

so you at least know its not your comp/ or ISP

sounds like you will have to chat to your Host or ISP, but I think your host is just telling you its AOK when in fact it might not be.

Well OK BUT that's why I asked a colleague to check from their computer and they could access it so that lead me to believe otherwise.

OK, there's a windows equivalent to tcptraceroute called tracetcp.

If you're up for it, first install WinPcap from here then tracetcp-0.99.4beta.zip (NOT source.zip) from here. Unzip the download, copy the tracetcp.exe to c:\windows\system32 & run it from an administrator account in a terminal window.

Reboot & try again. If you still get the message, uninstall winpcap, reinstall it, reboot then try again.
