Password Change

Having got through to an indian call centre person who was clueless, I thought I would ask you folks here instead!

I've changed the password of a virginmedia cable user as they had forgotten it and it was needed to set up e-mail accounts.

The password wasn't recognised when I changed it on each e-mail account and an hour or two later it was still not having it.

Should I give it a while to update?

The password should have updated straight away - unfortunately it may need another call to tech support to fix this issue. Ask them to refund you the cost of the call as you have already contacted them about this issue.

Thanks for your reply. Would additional e-mail accounts each have different passwords, or would they share the main username logon password?

There are several e-mail accounts and no-one knows what the password for each is, hence resetting the main password.

It now appears that each account has a different password, so we're going to have to ring support to find out what each one is.

The PRIMARY mailbox holder can change passwords and even delete in all secondary mailboxes.
