If you have Outlook or Outlook Express installed you can import the settings from them.
If not here are the settings:
pop3.blueyonder.co.uk
smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
You will need your username ( similar to th004k1234 )not your email alias and your email password.

Re: Setting up thunderbird to view emails
I know this is for outlook express but the pop3 & smtp addresses should be the same for Thunderbird.I'm pretty sure I used them when I tried Thunderbird.
Unfortunately VM only support Microsoft OS and e-mail clients.

Phone up Tech support and they will supply your username and will reset your password so as to ensure that it is working also, and as this is Administration on your account you will get your call charges back, do not let them say otherwise.

You can use any email client you like, but only Webmail, Outlook Express and Windows Mail are actually supported by Virginmedia.
Macmail at a push if someone rings up.
All you require is the pop3 and smtp setting or you can get OE7/Windowsmail setup with Tech Supports help and import the settings into Thunderbird.
