1003,11 error on sending emails
I am using MS Access to generate emails from a customer list. When I send them using Outlook Express and NTL in conjunction with Norton Internet Security, some of them get rejected with a 1003,11 error.
If I dial-up using Freeserve (orange) they go just fine.
Anyone got any ideas please?

Re: 1003,11 error on sending emails
Google suggests the problem is caused by Norton (as are so many computer problems). The fix seems to be to disable outgoing mail scanning: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...eg=hho&src=_mi

Re: 1003,11 error on sending emails
Thanks for the suggestionn Chickendippers. Tried that and it let some through, but Norton (even with outgoing scanning switched off) still rejected some emails with the same error. Doh!
Norton 360 behaves the same way with NTL, but as I said before it happily lets me dial up to Freeserve and sends the lot.....therefore I can only assume there is something affecting it from the NTL end?

If you disable Norton completely, do the emails send then?

Re: 1003,11 error on sending emails
From a quick search of the Microsoft support pages I found the following when I put your fault code in the search engine: 1003,11
Error message when you run the Eseutil command to determine the amount of free space in a database file in Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or in Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1: "Usage error: Source database has no streaming file"
Also has something to do with the use Access.
Plus the seems the may be a conflict with your Norton, which will probably be blocking the server.

Uninstall ALL of the Norton stuff completely, search for tools to do this. Then check out other stuff.
I use Sunbelt stuff - Firewall (used to be Kerio) and Counterspy. Also have a look at Kaspersky.

Re: 1003,11 error on sending emails
Well here we are again, but with a different error message this time.
I disabled Norton completely, and started sending emails. Now we get
"421 message rejected, error number 0x800CCC67" but not every email fails, just some. So we tried using dial-up and Freeserve again and guess what...the same thing happens.
Seems to be that as more emails are sent the intermittent problem gets worse.
Very frustrating.
