bounced e-mails from Australia

I live in N Ireland
My son lives and works in Australia He says his emails to me are returned to him as Spam. He uses his Company's system and does not have trouble sending to any othe source.

I have carefully checked my blocked list no sigh of him in it.

In one of the Computer magazines I read that V/M were having problems with e-mail. Help will be appreciated as to how to trace this problem.

In his previous job in A/U(with a local goverment dept) e-mails came no problem.

Re: bounced e-mails from Australia

Hello and

It would be good if we can get more information as to exactly what bounce message your son is getting from his mail server. It's likely that your sons network outbound mailserver is on a blocklist, but more info would help.

V/M has mail server problems now and then, as do many other email networks in the UK and world wide.

Re: bounced e-mails from Australia

Thank you for your reply.
Extracting info from my son is like getting blood from a stone.
I have e-mailed him and invited him to use the reply button on message I sent him.
It will be next Tus/Wed before he is back at work,Easter holidays, I will repost with fuller info as soon as possible.
He is a civil engineer on a massive railroad/motorway building project in NSW and is not always easy to contact. Again Thank You.

I read a similar problem , about 6 months ago, in either PC PRO or PC ADVISOR magazine.I'm sorry i cannot remember any more than that:-I think they gave a workaround , but again I'm unsure. an email to each of their help forums and/ or help pages might get you an answer.I can't look it up as I've passed on the magazines.
I take it you've tried adding his email address details to your address book?Sometimes that is enough to stop it being treated as spam. Do the same on the Virgin email page if possible. I havn't actually tried the second bit.
If it is a Virgin problem , maybe you could open a googlemail account if you hav'nt already got one, and ask him to address his emails to that?
