E-Mail addresses after closing of account
I am currently with VM and have two ntlworld email addresses that I have used for ages. I am about to move out and a housemate will combine my broadband connection to their TV and phone package. Anyway, my account will basically be closed.
What I really need to know is whether my email addresses will continue to work? I'd like to assume they would, but I'm not so sure.

No they won't. Virgin only provide e-mail services to a customer.
Close your account, lose your e-mail addresses

I use to have NTL about 5 years ago and I still have access to the pop accounts,,,

Not for much longer you won't. They are currently identifying all dormant accounts and will be closing them

If you intend to have Virginmedia at your new property then ask them to do a Move and Transfer to the new property enabling you to keep your Email address. |

I have old email accounts from old ntl account when i moved and i have still been using them they are pretty important to me due to business side of things.
Shutting them down without notice would cause quite a havoc. Any offical info on this? As i remember talking to an NTL support guy and they said they dont give support to email because it was given free with the account and would last forever.

Depends, do you still have internet serivces with virgin media? If so then you can get them transferred to your new account and i would do that asap.
If you dont then the email adress can be removed at any time so i would suggest that you set up an email account such as gmail or hotmail and start informing people now of the change of email adress so that if it does get removed at least people know how to contact you |

Get a googlemail account and export it all there.Wherever you go that one will go with you. |
