NTLworld and Usenet

Hi
i have a NTLworld cable broadband connection.
I want to try using Usenet (for downloads, news groups etc...).
I have found a free program called "Grabit", but need access to a "Newsgroup server" ("NNTP" or something like that).
Does NTLworld provide one of those and if it does, does anyone know how I would set it up please?
Many thanks

Virgin Media's motto?

Joking aside: Can one not use it for the same sort of Usenet downloads etc.. that one can obtain via other such arrangements?

Should I be looking elsewhere? Although it would bug me to have to pay extra for something, that my ISP (VM) should be able to provide.

Re: NTLworld and Usenet

You really only get about 3 days retention on Virgin. Which means you can easily miss something. Also they do not store all the groups and even then you have many incompletes. In my opinion, you have to pay for an external usenet provider. I can recommend Astraweb at about £8 a month for unlimited downloads.
