NTL FTP files held in VIRGIN webspace

Please help, I used to have an account with NTL which as you all know has been taken over by VIRGIN Media. My webpage is hosted by NTL which is still in use but I am now living with a connection on BTinternet! I cannot get access onto my NTL (virgin) using WS_FTP to change & update my files? Is there a way to somehow get access onto, now, VIRGIN FTP (NTL) from BTinternet? I would grateful for any help with this matter!

Some years ago when I asked NTL (as it then was) this very question I was told that you can only have FTP access from an NTL IP address. I suspect that this is still the case, if you no longer have an NTL or Virgin Media account, I don't think you are ever going to have access to your website again.

Also if you have cancelled your account I think there's a better than reasonable chance of the whole site being deleted at some point in the future unless you are somehow paying them to host it in which case you need to contact them to arrange access.

No the ex wife still runs the internet account but I can't get access to her internet connection, hench why I need to alter the site from another ISP now BTinternet!

If you've closed your account with Virgin/Ntl then the ftb space will have probalby been deleted. Just like the email accout.

Edit - if the account is still alive then you'll need access to a VM line to make the transfer as above I believe.

Host your website somewhere else. You're only using framed web forwarding so it doesn't really matter where you host it.

If the only copy of the website is on that VM webspace you'll need access to a VM connection to get to it. If that's not possible from your ex-wife's do you know anyone else on VM?

Yes, I now get the idea I will try to get some one else on VM and alter web space from there Thanks for all your help with this. Pete

It looks like you're using the personal web space commercially, which is against Virginmedias terms and conditions

So simple. Save pages, save images, move to BT webspace (or wherever).
Job done.

There are even tools that will do that for you and burrow to a given depth

I managed to grab every publically available file on that site and have uploaded the zip for you. I only uploaded it here because anyone has access to them anyway so its not a security risk.

Any files that did not have a link to it, couldn't be downloaded, obviously.

If you still know the login details for the ftp, i'd be more than happy to login and download them for you, then send you it via e-mail or a download link.
