Unable to delete file on my webspace

Hello folks,

I was going to upload a few family photos to my webspace for safe keeping and also to allow friends and family to access them.
When i noticed that a MP3 file was allready on there and it was not me who put it there.
Nomatter what i do i can't delete this file. i'm using Filezilla 2.2 and when i ask it to delete the file i get the message

"500 *filename.mp3* No such file or directory"

In the past i've gave out the address of my webspace but never the password,so where did this file come from and how do i get rid of it ?
Is is possable that someone else has been using my webspace ?

No number it's just the track name .mp3

There is an option in selfcare to reset the webspace, that should remove it.

Only your web host IMO. Best thing would be to reset the password and let them know that this thing has happened.

I still can't remove the file so i'm going to give virgin a call to see if they can remove it for me.

hey folks

Right this is really starting to bug me. there is now another file on there this time it's a movie clip of some comedian on stage. Again i can not delete this file or change any of the permissions on it.

I gave tech support a call sadly they were not a lot of help. All they would tell me to do is to goto this address and i "should" be able to delete the files from there then she hung up on me.

This takes me to the index of my webspace. so,i'm still stuck with these files that i want to remove.

I have try'd to change permissions on the files(using filezilla) but they reset back again straight away.

Anyone able to help ?
