Yahoo Groups

Hi everyone. For reasons that are beyond me, most of the six Yahoo groups that I am a member of are not receiving the messages I am posting. I post, I get a message saying everthing is ok, but they never, ever appear, even after days have gone by. "OK, not a problem "I thought, "I'll just contact 'em".

Half an hour of going from page to page trying to find who I need to talk to has left me bamboozled and frustrated. Who the hell do you write to about it?

As I can successfully post to two of the groups, but not to the four others, someone has suggested that perhaps my ISP (Virgin) has had a couple of the Yahoo servers blocked. Unfortunately he also suggested that I had little chance of getting any joy from Yahoo no matter who I wrote to .

So it's either waste half an hour on hold to India only to be told by a lady or gentleman whose English probably isn't the best, that "there is no problem with Virgin sir", if we can understand each other at all that is.

Alternatively if I could wade my way through Yahoo's mass of forums and irrelevant pages I could contact them only to be ignored or responded to by a bot.

Surely there has to be a better solution doesn't there?

Re: Yahoo Groups

Yahoo groups still going? i was last on there many moons ago with yahoo clubs sorry i can't assist you on your enquiry, but maybe something simple like help@yahoogroups.com then giving the link to the relevant group you are trying to open in your browser.

Re: Yahoo Groups

Thanks Roy. Not being able to post to a Yahoo group is a pain but not as painful as talking to VM's Indian call centre.

Before I posted earlier, I found a Yahoo help forum, which seemed to be full of postings from people with problems, but very few answers. Other than that, it just seems like I am sent from one irrelevant webpage to the next. All I want to do is tell Yahoo directly what is wrong and ask them to fix it. I have no confidence whatsoever that they will, neither do I believe that if I call VM I will get anything other than an Indian reading from a script, but it couldn't hurt to at least give Yahoo a try.

Re: Yahoo Groups

Try removing the proxy server that you have specified to see if this resolves the problem- i know ntl used to have problems with their proxy servers and yahoo groups/ mail.

Re: Yahoo Groups

There has been numerous problems with the Yahoo groups recently with messages not appearing for some time. I am member of some 30 plus groups and own several and we have no end of problems. There is a blog site on Yahoo where they post updates so it would be worth checking that out.
