Re: Wooden Flooring - Varnished - Looks dull any suggestions?

I've just put this stuff on my new oak floor in me kitchen. It's called Rustins Clear Plastic Floor Coating. It blooming well stinks - you're talking burning nostrils and stinging eyes for a few hours after putting it on. Definitely use a decent mask with it (even though the instructions make no mention). And kick the kids and cats out for the day.

Can be walked on in two hours. Give it at least a week or two to fully harden.

I've also used the non-floor version on the worktops. Looks amazing. With the worktops, you blather it on, then sand it flat then polish it with burnishing cream. The only problem is that it's so perfect it doesn't look like real wood.

The only problem with this stuff is that it's fine for new wood, but it's a bit fussy about anything that's already there. You might have to power sand first. Well worth it though.
