Sadly not. The Bravia has 6 AV inputs with HDMI being number 5. Nothing shows when HDMI is selected.
I've had the TV on the HDMI input and all that shows is a blank screen.
I've had the TVDrive into diagnosics mode and the box can see the TV and the EDID is OK. HDCP is not authenticated.
I cannot discover if the HDMI implementation in the Bravia supports HDCP as HDCP is not mentioned in the product documentation and you can have HDMI without HDCP although it isn't common.
If the STB demands HDCP authentication before displaying a picture then 99% of HDTV will not work. Certainly if that is the case then HDTVs with DVI-D and YCM input are all useless.
This is complex evil stuff this HDCP stuff and will stop normal consumers from using these new technologies. Even Telewest have no idea.
