Yes it can, if the airport has the right type of ILS, it's not easy to explain but in a 737 you need to tune one of the NAV radios to the ILS frequency of the runway you're planning to land on, you need to get lined up with the strip probably at least 20 miles out and make sure you're approach the ILS from below, once you flick the autopilot on and enable NAV it should guide you in, you'll probably still have to use the throttle and stick but it's a good way of keeping you on the glide slope.
