My parents have just got a new TV and a combi VCR/DVDR. At the same time they have upgraded to NTL digital.
Having tuned in the channels to the VCR/DVDR the cable channel has horizontal lines all across the screen when watched or recorded through the VCR/DVDR. At the back of the VCR/DVDR the line in has the input from both NTL and the rooftop aerial. If I remove the coaxial from the rooftop aerial the cable picture goes perfect but obviously the aerial becomes redundant.
When the VCR/DVDR is off, all pictures are fine.
Any ideas what causes the interference and are there anyways around it?
