as long as you dont plan on taking the box a million miles away then ,yes, itd work! its very unlikely you`d experience problems when watching (like you said) a match,however,you are more likely(coz of signal issues) to have problems using on demand or interactive should you try to.

no doubt somebody is gonna come along now and tell you its against the "rules " etc so probably not worth the bother.But in answer to the oringinal question theoretically /technically YES Itll work!!
