Question Using an ntl box in another house?

There was a thread a while back about someone's relative bringing a skycard over to the house for xmas thnking it would work for movies and sport (or similar) which did not in fact work. what I was wondering , out of pure curiosity, was would it be possible for me (who is subscribed to the full ntl sports, film4, movies etc) to physically take the box to another house supplied by ntl that does not have these subscriptions and wire it up and, say, watch a football match. Will it work? Am I allowed to do it?
