Re: What happened to the stolen penguin?

I was interested enough to email them directly about a week ago. Here's the reply that arrived today:

Dear Marina,

Thank you for your e-mail! No further news on Toga I'm afraid, everything has gone really quiet. On a happier note Toga's parents started eating well after Christmas and we also saw them start to pick up nesting material and preen each other more. These were all signs of courtship and we are proud to announce that they have a new egg! Incubation is around 40 days so we hope Toga's little brother or sister will hatch around the end of February. We really appreciate everyone's messages of support and will try to keep everyone updated on future, hopefully, happy events! We are still trying to raise money to allow us to install a CCTV system to help protect all the animals both after closing and while visitors are here. We wish we did not need to go over the top with security but we have learned the hard way that in this day and age we must. Any donations can be sent directly to us either by cheque in £ sterling or cash $ dollars (we can get this changed into £ sterling commission free). Thank you again for your concern!

Best wishes,

Kath Bright

While 'Toga' is probably dead....... there's good news with the possible new birth.
Looks like the new penguin will be a 'Pisces'
