Which Phone
I am thinking of a new phone, either a Samsung Galaxy S2 or the iphone 4 and can't quite decide, any views to help me decide would be great.

The S2 is smaller than the S. Still bigger than the Iphone 4 but not by much, approx 1cm longer and wider and 1mm thinner yet with a 1" bigger screen.
It also wipes the floor with the Iphone 4 for performance.
http://www.differencebetween.com/dif...pple-iphone-4/
Pretty much outperforms the Iphone 4 in every way aside from screen resolution and possibly battery life (The battery figures dont seem to be known yet for the S2).
I know which I would go for at the same price, and I know which I would go for even if It meant paying a little more, Samsung all the way.
Plus the app argument doesn't really hold much weight In an iOS vs Android argument since the android app market is pretty healthy these days and android phones can do half the things an Iphone needs an App for natively so the need for apps is pretty minimal.
Though I suppose one factor could be what phone you are upgrading from? If you are new to smartphones I would go for Samsung. If you have an existing android phone I would stick with the Samsung, though if you are coming from an older iPhone it may be worth sticking with the IP4 depending on if you have many paid apps you can transfer.

Re: Which Phone
I would go with the Galaxy S 2 it's a brilliant phone and hardware wise a lot better than the iPhone 4 which is now nearly a year old.
Also android Market has a lot of apps now and a lot of apps available on iPhone are now on android too.

Re: Which Phone
I do not know but I have to assume there will be and Iphone 5 or 4gs or whatever in July? This will have to have a dual core cpu to keep up with the front running Droid phones so if you fancy
There are more phones close to release to there is the HTC Sensation which benchmarks slower than the SGS 2 but wasnt a production model . There are multiple HTC dual core devices as well as Motorola close

Re: Which Phone
I got the Nexus S, fantastic piece of kit, I get all the updates before any other device being a true "Google" phone. It's nicely made. I've had no quarms with it.

Re: Which Phone
I not too fussed about dual core phones really, I can get the iphone 4 free for £40 a month as I wouldn't pay £89 for it.

Re: Which Phone
I would go for the SGS2 simply because the android experience is far more customisable than iOS. But it depends on what you want from a mobile.

Re: Which Phone
I've heard good things about the HTC Sensation. I'm waiting for that before deciding on that or the Samsung G2

Re: Which Phone
Why not an HTC?
My sisters get a HTC Wildfire for her birthday, and I'm thinking of getting one also but getting the HTC 7 Mozart but at £400 for a PAYG I'm thinking about it.
I can save a bob by getting an unlocked sim free one from play (any problems doing this) plus windows 7.
