Orange Blackberry sim?

Is there any reason why a sim that came with a blackberry wouldn't work in a normal phone?

I suspect the data may not work (as it's probably provisioned for BIS)

Bought a blackberry from CPW (unlocked), and ended up buying it on orange payg with a mandatory £20 topup. (It was £50 less than it would have cost me to buy the blackberry simfree).

Re: Orange Blackberry sim?

Is the sim paired with the BB?

The IT departments were I worked had a system that if the owners of companies BB lost them or had them stolen they could send a sighnal/code to the BB which would fry it and make it and the sim useless.

I have no idea, spose I could just chuck it in a spare phone and see what happens.

Re: Orange Blackberry sim?

It should be fine, my bro has a Blackberry on Vodafone and always puts the SIM in his old phone when he goes out and it works with no issues

Re: Orange Blackberry sim?

Is the phone you're putting the sim into Unlocked or on the same network?
