Well Done BT

Just to say the phone line went dead friday afternoon, no dialling tone, went to the BT website, typed in the telephone number, ran a diagnostic test, the result was an issue at BT'S end, they said they expected the problem to be sorted by monday 17th august, but yesterday around mid day the line was working again, so well done.

Did they text you to keep you updated with progress to another number? I've found their business service second to none, in fact if anything they text me too often with progress

To be honest, we have never had any issues with them, we have a dirt cheap package for calls to america at very reasonable rate per minute, it actually costs more for me to call the mrs on her mobile from my mobile than call america by landline!
Been with them for some while now since dumping VM due to issues we had unresolved, and this is the first time we have had an issue, and so far as I see they dealt with it very promptly and even kept me updated, the whole process seemed very customer friendly.

Re: Well Done BT

I too had an issue with my BT landline. I can only say the issue was fixed within 24 hours and the service I recieved was absolutely first rate in every respect.

I must admit to being most pleasantly surprised.

Of course a few years ago this would have been the expected norm. It is only relatively recently that we started to recieve and now expect such, generally, hopelessly inadequate customer services.

Re: Well Done BT

Really? I left BT for ntl over 10 years ago because of the appalling service (or rather lack of service) I received from BT. I have never regretted that decision

Re: Well Done BT

I guess luck has a lot to do with it. It shouldn't but I'm sure it does.

For some reason I cannot get a reliable TV or Phone service from Cable. I have no idea why and have given them ample oportunity to put matters right but alas apart from one box swap that made matters marginally worse nothing, no explanation just fobs. I understand that people around or near to me get good service.

Anyway I gave up in the end and now have a first class TV service from Sky and Phone from BT. I just get BB from VM.

Similar situation to me Mick, VM could not with the chances I gave them provide me with a reliable TV service even though it is supposedly more straight forward due to all the cables being buried, they charged me for calls that I did not make on my telephone, so right now I just get the BB from them, and to be honest thats the best situation I have been in since getting all three from VM.
