Three Direct Debit

My mum wants to change the direct debit from her name and her bank account to my dads, she called 3 and they said it isn't possible because the name is in her account, i feel she didn't know what she was talking about.

What i wanted to know is, if it is actually possible to do this?

I believe that the direct debit does have to be that of the account holder

Call customer service to change the name on the account, and they'll send you a form to fill in and return
