Just to let you all know that I received a call from NTL and as of now things have been sorted. The lady in question was very understanding and helpful and she knew exactly what she was doing ( unlike others ). I hope there won't be problems anymore, keeping my fingers crossed. And Oh ! she was even nice to offer me some compensation, it really brightened my day.
I would like to thank her and this forum on their part for solving my big headache.
