sky 3d

Natalie bought a (cello) 47inch passive 3d tv for me at Christmas.

Which works fine on the ps3 in 3d.

But on the sky box I have to manually switch the 3d format to side by side so she can watch the 3d.

Both cables are HDMI 1.4 and I've tried swapping them out.

Is there a reason the tv doesn't switch by itself like it does with the ps3?

It's driving her up the wall.

Me well I can't see it properly anyway but for the sake of the new Mr and Mrs Dilli any suggestions would be nice.

Cheers

Re: sky 3d

I don't think the Sky box sends the details required to switch.

My tv seems to do auto-detect and gets it quite often on Sky - 100% on the 3D blurays which do the switching.

Re: sky 3d

I have to do this on VM and on some xbox games with my active Samsung 3D TV. However it auto detects some xbox stuff and all Blu Rays. Just think the signal isn't being sent to let the TV know that 3D stuff is on screen.

Re: sky 3d

Well she knows how to do it now - cheers all

I have also been testing the 3DS' pictures as well.

If I put them on the PS3 they show up in 3d on the TV.

Nice.
