Cool Bush TV reverts to standby when scart connected

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum as it's my first post but just wanted to throw something out there. My 9yr old daughter has a Bush 22' LCD TV(22880F) with a dvd/vcr combi connected via scart (+ RF aerial for freeview).

We've just re-decorated her bedroom and when I re-connected the kit I discovered a weird problem. The TV seems to remember how it was last used(i.e. freeview input source or SCART input source). Now if I power the TV up after using scart source (whilst the Scart source is on standby)the TV goes into standby after approx 5 seconds. If I disconnect the scart from the TV it powers up correctly & I can re-connect the scart & use Combi or Freeview.

I swapped the scart lead for an identical looking (full 21 pin) scart lead & now seems ok! Anyone come across this before?
