poor picture quality

Hey guys,

So here is my situation - I have a digital freeview tv upstairs in my living room which gets its digital signal from an antenna on the roof.

In my bedroom downstairs i have a tv with a freeview box, which i get a signal from an ariel that sits on top of the tv. The signal from this tv is terrible! How or whats the best way to use the antenna on the room for the tv in the bedroom? Can it be done? or is there a better way to achieve this?

Hope that makes sense

Many thanks

Re: help help help

this would work.
How you run it ie round the room and down the stairs or through the floor and under the floorboards etc is up to you.

or.... pay someone to do it for you.

ps welcome to the forum

by the way, putting what you need help with is a lot better than help help help, like "poor picture quality"?

Re: poor picture quality

Splitting the signal from the roof antenna is a good bet, and a fairly easy DIY job. Be aware though, that if the run to the second set is long it will affect the signal level to both sets, so you may need an amplifier on the incoming side of the splitter as well.

Yes, you're right we didn't ask you anything.

so sorry.

I thought you might have come back to say something along the lines of thank you for your response , or I tried that already or it's ok I fixed it.

But not to worry I'm sure you will have questions in the future that I look forwards to reading

why make things harder then they need to be ? simply running the cabling down the side of the house is so much earlier & will use less cable too
