You won't get HD via SCART? You sure you don't have any HDMI ports on the television? what model is it?

Re: helllppp just bought new telly and cant set it up

Do you mean by an extension that you've bought a splitter (two sockets to one plug)? If you have it needs to be the switched type or you will get all sorts of problems as the two inputs will interfere with eachother.

The shadowing on the sky signal may be because the TV and/or sky box are switched to composite video. If they are set to send/receive RGB this should disappear.

Re: helllppp just bought new telly and cant set it up

According to the blurb that TV has 2 scarts? Do you want both items plugged in or are you trying to hook the freeview box to your scart box? If you just want them connected plug them into a Scart socket each and plug your aerial cable into the freeview box.

Re: helllppp just bought new telly and cant set it up

Can you post the model of your freeview recorder? You may need to daisy chain the devices, just checked on a website with a proper tech spec and you only have one scart and one SVideo socket according to the description.
