Sky are pathetic..capital P

I was switching over to the darkside, mainly as I wanted all sky sports in HD.

I decided to take full package including phone and broadband.

Tv installed first. Everything lovely, box is good. Tv good, though standard view not as good. My start with sky, 4 out of 5.

hmm, I then (not sure why) thought I'd better check online about my phoneline and broadband. i had arranged to take day off to let the guy do whatever it is he needed to do with my phoneline. (not sure what, as I've had BT before)

Online message, "please phone a number, there is a problem with your order".

I phoned, and was bounced around the sky customer services (4 people, each who eventually put me on hold), where I repeated my name, rank, and serial number. Final person said to me "Don't worry, I won't move you on. Oh, something went wrong with order when going to BT. You are not getting a visit, shall we reorder it now." Cue ballistic missile. I reminded her that I had already arranged time off, and I wasn't informed there was an issue. Only my curiosity ,managed me to find out. She said, yada yada, I can do nothing, shall we arrange a new date, as the date you had is no longer available.

After dirty looks down phone (by me) and a couple of references to what I thought of sky, I phoned up virgin, and asked to be updated to 50mb broadband, with phone...and it is coming soon.

Sky have me for football for 1 year. Presuming 3 and 4 come, or even if they don't..Virgin tv will be coming back too.

Very disappointed in sky. I had been with them before..bad memories coming back, like an old gf that was psycho...and I've had those.

I was a SKY customer once.

It was the longest 4 months of my life, we had 3 replacement boxes and constant ghost dialling of the phone and every technician visit was more than a week away.

We closed our account due to them failing to fulfil the terms of the agreement by giving us a 5th rate service and luckily enough we had kept an analogue box with Cable Northwest upstairs so we very quickly returned to the fold.

Sigh..I might need to change thread title.

Sky contacted me, after I sent an email to Mr Murdoch.

They apologised for my problems..and offered me half price tv for 6 months (saving me £24 per month for 6 months).

Needless to say, I accepted. I would be churlish not to say ..kudos sky.

The force has got me..Luke..are you my father?

Re: Sky are pathetic..capital P

lol yes. But i think most would say yes. Especially as I am moving to 50mb with virgin from 20mb. Bless sky, they are part funding it.

And to be truthful, not sure what else they can do for me other than money. And, I wanted all the HD sport channels. And I have them with sky. i will now do the money dance
