Other than that, I'm well aware that Virgin would never license the brand to BSkyB for one of their channels. The Virgin Radio/Absolute Radio situation gives form for this.

I know what you mean but SKY will rebrand the tv because they choose to, so as to align all their products with the one identity.

I don't think "Channel One" aligns it to Sky at all.

But it removes the Virgin Media corporate identity which does.

Re: Channel One? Seriously?
Can you really see Sky having a channel named Virgin 1?
Yes, back in 1996, Virgin Enterprises and Sky were to launch 'Virgin TV' a Virgin branded TV channel, it failed because of low demand on pay tv and also failed because most Cable companies could not fit in the channel on Analogue TV as they were reserving space for Front Row and Sky Box Office(Ex-Cable and Wireless areas).
Why Sky Real Lives was discontinued:
Low demand and wasn't as popular as Living. Living also has a HD channel which is available across both Sky and Virgin Media which means for cost effieciency, it is a good idea they closed.
Bravo would be the replacement of Men and Motors which recently closed.

Re: Channel One? Seriously?
Not keen on the new DOG either... the bright red/pink 'one' is intrusive and distracts the eye on dark programmes, but even on brighter shows too.
Still don't see why we need DOGs at all these days. With everything going digital, there's no mistaking which channel you're watching.
It's also irritating that, for the most part, they have no problems plastering them all over the programmes we want to watch, but take them off for the bloody adverts.

Re: Channel One? Seriously?
I would've thought this channel would come under the sky domain but it's separate.
