Re: Will the attached Arial setup work?
Probably not unless both aerials receive the same frequencies as each other, i.e. same channels in the same place.

Actually, the reverse of this is true, it will work unless the two target transmitters use the same frequency(or even one close) to the other. If this happens then the user will experience co-channel interference/multipath reception etc.
I'd think twice about the amplifiers though, much better to get an aerial with more directors.

Re: Will the attached Arial setup work?
I'd assume the aerials would need to be of a different group, if you are in a position to easily receive two different regional transmitters they will be using different frequency sets in order to prevent undesirable interference. So I wouldn't expect you to find channels broadcasting over each other and messing up your reception.

Both arials have less than 2 years old with 48 elements, I get a very good signal normally but when the weather is hot as it is now I get signal loss for some several minutes and pixaling of the picture..

Re: Will the attached Arial setup work?
I see no problem with this setup, and if you're using Hannington for your southern region there should be no channel contention issues pre or post switchover. The only thing you will need to do when you retune is unplug the aerial of the region you use least, as the Freeview tuner will automatically reject the region with the weakest signal. You can then add in the other region manually.
