amstrad sky box

Hi can anyone help,had a 3 hour power cut on saturday,sky box (amstrad) approx 14 yrs old refuses to power up????????

Fairly common problem with old Amstrad boxes, most likely the capacitors in the power supply section have gone faulty.

Notorious for it, if you're not up to fixing it yourself, or repair is too expensive, then try ebay.

If you're still on subscription, then see if you can wring a new box out of them by preparing to cancel (because you can't use it).

if its 14 years old and you've not had a deal off them recently , they WILL give you a new box.
