They should pick one channel to air sport and stick to it without disrupting programmes
[attempting] to watch seasons of Star Trek TNG when it aired on BBC2 many years ago has made me bitter towards BBC sport coverage and Gary Lineker's a twunt

I like BBC 4 too.
BBC 3 however seems a complete waste of space as it stands so making it a sports channel seems a good idea.
How come the BBC is feeling the pinch though? Did the license fee suddenly decrease and no-one told me? Oh wait..........it must be time for an executive pay review again.

Me thinks this would probably result in end of the last BBCi stream on Freeview. At the moment the BBC3 capacity share with CBBC restricts them to a 7pm start. A sports channel would require much more flexibility.
